Notable DVDs being released today include:
“Hairspray” (PG): The film-based-on-a-musical-based-on-a-film is awash with fun, peppy songs.
“Live Free or Die-hard”: If you thought the first three “Die Hards” were fun, you’ll enjoy this one, too. It’s available in three editions: a single-disc PG-13 version, a single-disc widescreen unrated edition and an unrated two-disc edition.
“Rescue Dawn” (PG-13): Werner Herzog’s fictionalized adaptation of his own 1997 documentary, “Little Dieter Needs to Fly.” The film stars Christian Bale as Dieter Dengler, a Navy pilot shot down over Laos in 1966 who eventually masterminded a brilliant escape from a guerrilla prison camp.
“Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause” (G): In case you care.
“Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains the Same” (PG): Depending on the edition, this includes a collectible vintage T-shirt with original album artwork design, a soundtrack CD, lobby cards, reproductions of original premiere invites, tour schedule and more.
